Switch Off Properly: The Moonlit Sauna Experience

This is where your stay changes.
Tucked into the heart of the Ox Mountains, right beside flowing water and surrounded by forest and open landscape, the Moonlit Sauna is designed for one thing only — complete switch-off.

Guests staying in any of our accommodations can book a private session, including:
The Red Bus, Treehouse, Ox Mountain Lodge, Traditional Cottage, Shepherd’s Hut, The Hideaway, Moonlite Cruiser, and Bunk n Barn.

This is not a shared space.
This is your time.

Step inside and feel the warmth of a traditional wood-fired sauna, where gentle heat builds slowly and naturally. The crackle of the fire, the scent of timber, and the stillness around you create a calm that you don’t get anywhere else.

And then there’s the setting.

The sauna sits in a private outdoor wellness area, surrounded by trees, natural stone, and flowing water. Step out, cool down by the stream, take a breath of fresh mountain air, and go back in again. It’s simple, but it feels incredible.

You’ll notice it straight away.
No noise. No rush. No pressure.
Just heat, fresh air, and space.

Evenings here are something else. As the light fades, the mountains quieten, and the sky opens up. With no WiFi and no light pollution, you’re left with complete stillness and, on clear nights, a sky full of stars.

Everything about it is designed to help you slow down.

  • Private sauna sessions

  • Wood-fired heat for a natural, steady warmth

  • Set beside flowing water for cooling and contrast

  • Surrounded by forest and mountain views

  • No WiFi, no distractions

  • Quiet, sheltered, and completely separate from accommodation

The Moonlit Sauna is an optional add-on experience and is not included in your stay.
Sessions are booked in private time slots and can be arranged before arrival or during your stay.

Pre-booking is recommended.

You can read about it.
But you only really feel it when you’re sitting there, heat rising, looking out at the mountains, with nothing else to think about.
