testimonials

Dermot and Monica are absolutely wonderful people and excellent hosts. Their Bunk n’ Barn is clean, spacious and warm, there was more than enough room for our large group. The facilities were brilliant, we used the campfire, the group activity games and we spent plenty of time sitting beside the stream that runs through the property. The surrounding area is magnificent with plenty of hiking trails and a nearby lake that was great for swimming. I have to rate this place 11/10, it was exactly what we wanted as a large group of college students. Dermot and Monica were more than happy to let us relax and do our own thing, and happily joined us around the campfire a few times. I’d highly recommend the Bunk N’ Barn for groups of college students. Thanks once again for a fantastic weekend.

The treehouse is a peaceful retreat located in beautiful surroundings. A true place to switch off and soak in the beautiful surroundings. A slice of heaven for a reasonable price, will be back again!

We’ve been welcomed very hearty by our hosts and the lovely dogs Hunter and Bella. This place is recommended for animal loving tourists as you can play with the dogs whole day and they will even guide you through the near forest. The farm is great for couples and larger parties to escape the cities and enjoy very pure nature. The hosts do suggest great activities. We’ve strolled around a close lake and enjoyed our time in a pub nearby. Lookout for the other accomodations at the farm (Tree house, Shepard’s hut, Cottage).

Staying in this lovely Irish cottage in the Ox Mountains was stunning and amazing. The turf fire, mountain views, fresh air, and peaceful presence of sheep are truly lovely. Dermot and Monica and fantastic hosts – always helpful and welcoming. The cottage is 200 years old and made primarily of stone, so set your expectations accordingly. Our family would definitely stay there again !
